Randolph Community College hosted a formal unveiling of a portrait of
the RCC Asheboro Campus by acclaimed watercolorist William Mangum on May
1 in the R. Alton Cox Learning Resources Center auditorium. The
portrait was commissioned to honor RCC’s 50th anniversary; the college
opened its doors for the first formal classes on Sept. 4, 1962.
