Jacqueline “Jackie” Foster, an RCC GED graduate and 1994 RCC Criminal
Justice Technology graduate who is now a probation and parole officer
for the N.C. Division of Adult Corrections, was the keynote speaker at
Randolph Community College’s Adult High School Diploma/General
Educational Development (GED) spring graduation ceremony at 7 p.m. on
Monday, May 14, at the Asheboro High School Performing Arts Center.
The ceremony also included graduates from RCC’s Career College program,
with certificates being presented by Tonya Monroe,
coordinator/instructor for compensatory education. Career College is a
16-week, post-secondary certificate program for adults with learning
challenges. This entry-level program provides a foundation for
transitioning into a career or additional coursework.
Twenty-nine students participated in Monday’s ceremony out of 67 GED
graduates, 11 Adult High School Diploma graduates, and three Career
College graduates who were eligible in May.
