Charles A. “Chuck” Egerton Jr., department head for Randolph Community
College’s Photographic Technology Department, received the 2014 HHS
Pacesetter Award from the University of North Carolina School of Health
and Human Sciences recently.
The HHS Pacesetter
Award honors outstanding alumni of the school who have attained local,
state or regional recognition through their achievements in scholarship,
leadership or service, during their career, or through civic
involvement.
“Charles Egerton is the
quintessential graduate student, he has made a significant impact as an
accomplished peace-builder, educator, and photographer,” said Dr.
Cathryne Schmitz, chair of the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies
at UNCG.
The award was presented to Egerton at the
Alumni Awards and Reunion Reception in conjunction with the UNCG
Reunion Weekend 2014 in mid April.
