Randolph Community College’s Office of Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs will host a Veterans Benefits Fair from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 12 in the Foundation Conference Center on the Asheboro Campus. The event is open to RCC students and the public.
“The goal is to provide information about services and benefits available to veterans and their families,” said Cathy Aikens, RCC financial aid associate & VA certifying official. “It gives them a one-stop opportunity to speak with different organizations that may essentially improve their health and well-being.”
The event will feature information tables from the following agencies: American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Employment Security Commission, Veteran Services Officer, Salisbury Rural Health, Department of Veterans Affairs-Winston-Salem Regional Office, Home for Heroes, a U.S. Army recruiter, RCC student counselors, and the Greensboro Veterans Center, which will bring its 38-foot mobile unit.
For more information, contact Aikens at 336-633-0308.
