Randolph Community College’s Archdale Center is launching two new Continuing Education courses in April.
“Couponing 101: Clip, Download, Save!” will instruct participants in using coupons to lower their grocery bills. Students will learn about coupon lingo; store coupon policies; differences between manufacturer coupons and store coupons; using coupons at grocery stores and drug stores; and using various stores’ reward programs. Couponing 101 will also cover where to find coupons, Internet sites that match coupons based on stores, and how to organize coupons. This class will meet from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, April 3-24. The registration fee is $10.
“Ladies Basic Home Repair” will help students learn how to complete do-it-yourself projects and will include hands-on participation. The class will be taught by Jim Barnes, who has 35+ years of construction-related experience. Specific projects might include hanging pictures, shelves, and towel bars; installing molding; patching holes in drywall; basic toilet repairs; and garbage disposal troubleshooting. The class will meet from 6-9 p.m. on Thursdays, April 12-May 31. The registration fee for this class is $61.25.
