Are you a 7th or 8th grader or a middle or high school teacher
interested in learning more about advanced manufacturing? Asheboro City
Schools, Randolph Community College, and the Randolph County School
System have joined forces to hold an AMP (Advanced Manufacturing
Pathway) Camp from Monday-Thursday, June 18-21, at RCC’s Asheboro
Campus.
Students will visit area manufacturing industries and create projects in
the manufacturing lab. AMP Camp is offered at no cost for current
Randolph County 7th and 8th graders. Space is limited. Interested
students should apply at http://bit.do/AMPCamp2018 by Tuesday, May 15, 2018.
The
AMP Camp for teachers is designed to help them understand the careers
available for students and the skills needed to be successful in those
careers. Participants will tour three area manufacturing industries and
spend time in the advanced manufacturing lab at RCC. Hours will be 9
a.m.-3 p.m. daily; a daily stipend of $125 will be provided. Space is
