RCC student Toni Formato of Denton was elected president of the North Carolina Comprehensive Community College Student Government Association (N4CSGA) at the state conference recently. By virtue of that office, she will also serve as the student representative on the State Board of Community Colleges for the 2018-19 academic year. Formato is enrolled in the Associate in Science (College Transfer) program and currently serves as president of the RCC’s Student Government Association.
RCC student Yasmin Cervantes of Liberty was also elected to serve as secretary of the state group. A Randolph Early College High School student, she serves as secretary/treasurer of RCC’s SGA. Cervantes is enrolled in the Associate in Arts (College Transfer) program.
