Summer pottery classes will begin in May at Randolph Community College’s Asheboro Campus.
“Pottery I: Basics for Beginners,” which is designed to provide the student with a well-rounded understanding of the pottery making process from start to finish, will meet from 5:30-9 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 17 through Aug. 14. Upon completion of the program, the student will possess a skill set necessary to work successfully in clay. Topics covered will include using the wheel, forming, firing, and applying glaze.
