Randolph Community College’s Workforce Development and Continuing
Education Division will offer an “Arc Flash 70E” safety course on
Tuesday, April 24 on the Asheboro Campus.
The Arc Flash 70E class teaches the NFPA 70E requirements for safe
work practices to protect personnel by reducing exposure to major
electrical hazards. NFPA 70E helps companies and employees avoid
workplace injuries and fatalities due to shock, electrocution, arc
flash, and arc blast, and assists in complying with OSHA 1910 Subpart S
and OSHA 1926 Subpart K.
NFPA 70E, titled Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace, is a standard of the National Fire Protection Association.
The
one-session class (#66112) will meet from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April
24, in Room 127 of the Continuing Education and Industrial Center at 413
Industrial Park Avenue. The cost is $70.
