Need a math refresher before entering college? Randolph Community
College’s College and Career Readiness program will be holding math
classes this summer to help students gain foundational skills. The aim
is to prepare students for developmental or curriculum courses, said
Ashley Moody, director of adult basic education/adult high school
programs.
Topics to be covered in the Math Prep course include fractions, decimals, percentages, and pre-algebra.
These classes are free of charge and offered in two six-week sessions.
The first one will be May 20-June 26, and the second session will be
July 1-Aug. 7.
Students can choose from two different class
times on the Asheboro Campus—9 a.m.-12 noon or 5:30-8:30 p.m., Mondays,
Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Classes will also be held at the Archdale
Center from 9 a.m.-12 noon only on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
For more information or to register, call the Asheboro Campus at 336-633-0106 or the Archdale Center at 336-862-7980.
