Record Number of Graduates Walk at Randolph Community College Curriculum Graduation

Salem College President Susan E. Pauly was the guest speaker at Randolph Community College's graduation ceremony held Wednesday at Asheboro High School. Dr. Robert S. Shackleford Jr., RCC president, gave the welcome, and Shane Bryson, Student Government Association president, made opening remarks.

The Curriculum ceremony took place at 7 p.m., May 11, with approximately 275 students, a record number of participants, walking in the ceremony out of 452 associate degree, diploma, and certificate candidates this year.

The conferring of the degrees, diplomas and certificates was handled by James M. Campbell Jr., chairman of the RCC Board of Trustees. Faculty marshals for the 2011 ceremony were Holly D. Barker, Jennifer L. Macy, and Neilson L. Weatherly.

RCC Student Ambassadors Nicholas D. Benfield, Casey L. Lamb, Courtney A. Satterfield, and Emily C. Smith served as graduation marshals.
