Randolph Community College’s Workforce Development and Continuing
Education Division has scheduled a variety of courses this summer
ranging from teacher renewal credit courses to specific workforce
training.
Do you love working with animals? RCC’s Veterinary Assistant
course will train you to work in a veterinarian practice including 1)
veterinary terminology, 2) anatomy and physiology, 3) animal behavior
and communication, 4) grooming techniques, 5) proper handling and
restraining of animals, 6) obtaining and handling specimens, 7)
emergency care, and 8) office management in reference to medical
records, charting, and detailed documentation. The course will meet from
6-9 p.m. on Wednesdays, June 1 – Aug. 17 at the Archdale Center. The
cost is $125.55; a minimum of 18 years of age is required and high
school completion or equivalent is recommended.
