Dr. Brenda Lopez, a 2009 Randolph Community College graduate and
former Student Ambassador, will be the guest speaker at Randolph
Community College’s Curriculum Graduation ceremony scheduled for 7 p.m.,
Wednesday, May 11, in the Asheboro High School gymnasium.
Lopez graduated from RCC’s Associate in Arts (College Transfer)
program and transferred to the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill. She is currently a periodontics graduate student at the UNC School
of Dentistry. She was named the Dallas Herring Achievement Award
recipient by the North Carolina Community College System in April 2011.
Over
470 students have applied to graduate with their associate degrees,
diplomas, and certificates this spring. Around 235 graduates are
expected to participate in the ceremony on May 11.
RCC has issued
seven guest tickets for each graduate who is participating in the
ceremony. Only ticketed guests will be allowed in the gymnasium.
Overflow seating will be available in the AHS Performing Arts Center
auditorium with a live video feed for additional guests to watch the
ceremony.
