Dr. Brenda Lopez to speak at RCC’s 2016 Graduation May 11 at Asheboro High School

Dr. Brenda Lopez, a 2009 Randolph Community College graduate and former Student Ambassador, will be the guest speaker at Randolph Community College’s Curriculum Graduation ceremony scheduled for 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, in the Asheboro High School gymnasium.

Lopez graduated from RCC’s Associate in Arts (College Transfer) program and transferred to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is currently a periodontics graduate student at the UNC School of Dentistry. She was named the Dallas Herring Achievement Award recipient by the North Carolina Community College System in April 2011.

Over 470 students have applied to graduate with their associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates this spring. Around 235 graduates are expected to participate in the ceremony on May 11.

RCC has issued seven guest tickets for each graduate who is participating in the ceremony. Only ticketed guests will be allowed in the gymnasium. Overflow seating will be available in the AHS Performing Arts Center auditorium with a live video feed for additional guests to watch the ceremony.
