First-year college students or those planning on starting next fall
can pick up some general education credits in Randolph Community
College's eight-week summer session beginning May 26. Registration for
these classes begins April 6 for current RCC students and April 13 for
new or visiting students.
Options include developmental and first-year English courses,
economics, history, psychology, sociology, biology, chemistry, and math.
Classes begin May 26 and end July 27.
These classes are convenient for students studying at other
universities who might be home in Asheboro for their summer break and
need transfer credits for missing classes or those who need to retake a
subject. These courses are categorized by the North Carolina Community
College System as Universal General Education Transfer Component (UGETC)
courses and will easily transfer back to the student's home school.
For a list of courses, go to www.randolph.edu/summercourses.
For information on how to register, stop by the RCC Welcome Center on the Asheboro Campus or call 336-633-0200.
