Randolph Community College's Office of Financial Aid and Veterans
Affairs will host its annual Veterans Benefits Fair from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
on Wednesday, April 8 in the Foundation Conference Center on the
Asheboro Campus. Veterans will be able to find information on health
care, VA loans, counseling, employment, and more at the event, which is
open to RCC students and the public.
"Randolph Community College prides itself on being a military
friendly school," said Cathy Aikens, RCC financial aid specialist &
VA certifying official. "It is our desire to bring important information
to this area that can benefit those who served our country."
Several guests will be on hand to answer questions and give out
information, including the following: the Rural Health Program of
Salisbury; Winston-Salem VBA; Terry Van Vliet/Veteran Services officer;
Greensboro Veterans Center and its mobile unit; Gene Dickey of Home
Fires Burning; SSgt. Cory Renna, Marine Corps recruiter; Randolph County
Career Center; and the American Legion.
RCC's Asheboro Campus is located at 629 Industrial Park Avenue. Take
the McDowell Road exit from Highway 220/I73-74 and follow the signs.
