Randolph Community College will be
hosting guest speaker Kyle Snyder, director of Nextgen Air
Transportation Program, on the subject of unmanned aerial vehicles and
their future in North Carolina. An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV),
commonly known as a drone, is an aircraft without a human pilot aboard.
The presentation will take place at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, in the
R. Alton Cox Learning Resources Center auditorium on the Asheboro
Campus.
Snyder's work centers on networking researchers and educators with
government and industry to prepare the state for future aviation
possibilities. His speech will focus on UAV applications, laws of
operation in North Carolina, and a display of an actual drone.
