Nearly 100 state and local government officials, business and industry dignitaries, and Randolph Community College faculty and staff members gathered outside the former Klaussner Furniture Plant at 418 Industrial Park Avenue for a formal groundbreaking ceremony for RCC's new Continuing Education & Industrial Center (CEIC). The renovation of the building, which will be paid for from the 1/4-cent sales tax approved by Randolph County voters in March, will provide 46,000 square feet of space for RCC's students and will open what is believed to be the first LEED Gold building in Randolph County.
