Randolph Community College's Small Business Center will host an Entrepreneurial Festival during the Old Time Chili Cookoff & Antique Car Show, Saturday, April 16 in downtown Asheboro. The Entrepreneurial Festival tent will be located at the end of Bicentennial Park on Academy Street between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
A small business panel of experts will be available to answer questions and give advice. There will be display tables for new small business owners, featuring new and unique products and services.
From 11 a.m.-1 p.m., a free seminar will cover why businesses fail. "15 Common Mistakes That Will Undermine Any Business" will be presented by Bob Moore, who created this seminar from his experiences of owning his own businesses and working for medium and large domestic and international corporations. The seminar, which is free to participants, is being sponsored by CommunityONE.
Other sponsors for the Entrepreneurial Festival include the Randolph County Economic Development Corporation, the N.C. REAL (Rural Entrepreneurship through Action Learning) Institute, the N.C. Rural Center, and SCORE (Counselors to America's Small Business). For more information prior to the festival, call 336-633-0240.
