The location for Randolph Community College's Curriculum Graduation on May 11 has been changed from the Providence Grove High School gymnasium to the Lee J. Stone Stadium at Asheboro High School. The change was made because an unprecedented number of graduates have signed up to walk during the ceremony, and RCC officials wanted to make sure there was enough room for family and friends to watch the graduation.
To date, 245 students have ordered caps and gowns for the Wednesday, May 11 ceremony, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. Approximately 160 students participated in last year’s ceremony.
In case of rain, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the Asheboro High School gymnasium. Asheboro High School is located at 1221 South Park Street in Asheboro.
