The deadline for applications for Randolph Community College's 2011 Design Initiative is fast approaching. The project will provide free design services for one commercial client and one residential client in Randolph County. Completed applications must be postmarked by May 1 in order to be considered.
Last year, Randolph Community College's Interior Design students provided designs for the Randolph County Emergency Services Call Center and a local couple renovating a 1949 family home.
To be eligible for the free design services, you must be a property owner in Randolph County; both residential and nonresidential interior spaces will be considered. The owner must be available to meet with the Interior Design students on a frequent basis and grant access to the site for project analysis between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. during the months of August through December 2011. The existing or proposed project space must be a minimum of 2,000 finished square feet. Only one applicant is allowed per household or business.
