Randolph Community College’s Workforce Development and Continuing Education Division has scheduled its second Health and Wellness Coach course to start in August.
This hybrid course is designed to provide individuals the basic knowledge, tools, and resources to work under the supervision of licensed professionals supporting individuals to improve their personal health. This class has been approved as a 120-hour training program for the Center for Credentialing & Education’s Board Certified Coach (BCC) certification. Topics will include the BCC core competencies as well as coaching competencies as they relate to health and wellness.
The class will meet from 5:30-7 p.m. on Wednesdays, Aug. 15, 2018, through May 1, 2019. The cost is $180. A textbook, “Coaching for Change” by John Bennett, is required.
RCC’s first class of Health and Wellness Coaches graduated in June. It is the first program of its kind offered by a North Carolina Community College.
