Randolph Community College’s Small Business Center continues its series
of free informational seminars in November for owners of small
businesses or those considering opening their own businesses. The
month’s offerings include classes in Seagrove and Ramseur.
The first seminar in November will provide a thorough overview of
fundraising. “Nonprofit Fundraising,” scheduled for 6-9 p.m., Monday,
Nov. 4, will cover all aspects of fundraising, including corporate
giving, special events, individual giving, grant writing, and details
such as recordkeeping and donor recognition. The seminar, which will be
held in the Continuing Education and Industrial Center on the Asheboro
Campus, will be taught by Greta Lint.
Get the
basics in “10 Steps to Starting a Small Business,” with instructor Jim
Myers, which covers the steps you need to take to make your dream become
a reality and what you must know before you commit yourself and your
money. The seminar will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at
the Seagrove Public Library.
