Randolph Community College has received a $15,000 grant from the
Tobacco Trust Fund Commission, according to Wanda Beck, director of
workforce development. The grant will fund Project Skill-Up scholarships
for a workforce development initiative with two core components: 1)
providing access to short-term training programs aligned with in-demand
credentials supporting local workforce need; 2) developing educational
opportunities for individuals interested in diversifying utilization of
agriculture resources and enterprises.
RCC is targeting the following occupational pathways for scholarship
opportunities: welding, health, building trades, and agriculture. To
apply, call RCC’s Workforce Development and Continuing Education
Division at 336-633-0268.
