Randolph Community College has been named a Military Friendly School for
2014 by Victory Media, a producer of media products for military
personnel transitioning into civilian life. Only 31 of the 58 community
colleges in North Carolina have earned this designation.
“We are honored to be selected once again as a Military Friendly
School,” said Dr. James W. Kelley, vice president for student services
at RCC. “As part of RCC’s mission of Creating Opportunities and Changing
Lives, we strive to serve all the citizens of Randolph County. However,
veterans do hold a special place in our heart. We are glad to serve
those who have served.”
The 2014 Military Friendly
Schools® list honors the top 20 percent of colleges, universities and
trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace
America’s military service members, veterans, and spouses as students
and ensure their success on campus.
