Randolph Community College’s Archdale Center has scheduled a Residential & Commercial Landscaping course to start in September.
This practical course was created for homeowners looking to spruce up
their own yards and entrepreneurs looking to start a landscaping and
lawn care business.
It covers the basic principles
of landscape design and will include drawing plans; calculating area,
volume and plant quantities needed for landscape projects; and
estimating costs. A Saturday hands-on project will be held at the
conclusion of the course, giving participants the opportunity to apply
knowledge gained in the classroom out in the field.
The course will be taught by Steve Cline, owner of Cline’s Greenhouse,
Nursing & Landscaping. Cline holds a master’s degree in agricultural
education from North Carolina State University.
This course will meet from 6-9 p.m., Tuesdays, Sept. 18 through Oct. 30.
The Saturday session will be held from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Nov. 2. The
registration fee is $66.25, which includes insurance.
For more information or to register, contact the Archdale Center at
336-862-7980. Randolph Community College’s Archdale Center is
conveniently located at 110 Park Drive in Creekside Park.
