Randolph Community College students, faculty and staff members have numerous collection drives underway for the holiday season.
- The RCC Student Nurse Association is collecting new, unwrapped toys for the children and siblings at Kids Path, a program for children ages birth to 18 who may have a life limiting illness or a chronic illness. The collection will end Dec. 5.
- Campus Crusaders and Phi Theta Kappa have combined efforts for a food drive to benefit Christian United Outreach Center, Family Crisis Center, and Communities in Schools Backpack Pals Program. The drive will continue through Dec. 9.
- The RCC Faculty Association and the Staff Association are collecting gently used or new children's clothing (up to size 16) and shoes. Clothes will be donated to a local women's shelter and CUOC. Shoes will be donated to the Soles for Souls global project.
- Inner Strength, RCC's Male Minority Mentoring Program, is conducting a toy drive for Fox 8 Gifts for Kids for the second year in a row. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off on campus through Dec. 2.
- The Archdale Center is collecting new, unwrapped toys for Randolph County Foster Children.
- RCC's Long Term Care Administration class is working with Randolph Hospital to collect items for pediatric patients, such as coloring books, crayons, children's books, small stuffed animals, blankets, and small toys.
Collection boxes are located throughout the Asheboro Campus, at the Archdale Center, and at the Emergency Services Training Center. For more information, contact the Student Activities Office at 336-633-0224.
