Randolph Community College Archdale Center Offers Oil, Acrylic & Watercolor Painting Course

Randolph Community College's Archdale Center will offer an Oil, Acrylic, and Watercolor Painting course beginning Wednesday, Sept. 21. Community service and personal enrichment courses such as this that focus on an individual's personal or leisure needs rather than occupational or professional employment are offered through RCC's Corporate and Continuing Education Division.

The course, which will meet on Wednesdays from 12:30-3 p.m., Sept. 21 through Nov. 9 at the Archdale Center at 110 Park Drive, will introduce the basic techniques in painting as they apply to the elements and principles of design. Students will learn the types of tools and materials used in painting, color theory, and perspective drawings. The course will expand the students' ability to draw and paint a variety of subject matter, such as landscapes, still life, and people. The instructor will be Juanita Patrum.

Registration for the course is $40. For more information or to register, contact the Archdale Center at 336-862-7980.
