Randolph Community College's Small Business Center and the Archdale-Trinity Chamber of Commerce are co-sponsoring a free seminar on Tuesday, July 26 by motivational speaker Denise Ryan. The "Why Can't We All Just Get Along?" seminar tackles the subject of understanding how different people communicate and how that affects the workplace.
Attendees will learn the four different communication styles and take a test to determine theirs. The seminar will also focus on how to communicate more effectively with other styles and how to make the most of your own style. "This session can help teams get along better, help leaders understand their followers, and even help salespeople sell," said Lonnie Hamm, director of the Small Business Center.
Two sessions are being offered, the first from 9-11 a.m. in the R. Alton Cox Learning Resources Center auditorium at Randolph Community College's Asheboro Campus, 629 Industrial Park Avenue, and the second from 1-3 p.m. at the Archdale Public Library, 10433 S. Main Street.
For more information, contact the Small Business Center at 336-633-0240 or 336-633-0268.
