Randolph Community College's Interior Design program is launching a student/community project that will offer free-of-charge design solutions to county residents or business owners. "The goal of the Randolph County Design Initiative is to actively promote the College in the community, support the success of our students, and establish community partnerships," said Holly Barker, program head and instructor for Interior Design. The application deadline is May 1, 2010, for the design projects that will be completed during the fall 2010 semester.
To be eligible, you must be a property owner in Randolph County; both residential and nonresidential interior spaces will be considered. The owner must be available to meet with the Interior Design students on a frequent basis and grant access to the site for project analysis between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. during the months of August through December 2010. The existing or proposed project space must be a minimum of 2,000 finished square feet.
